My Return From Hiatus!

hiatus 2

So it has been a while internet friends! I know my hiatus was completely unexpected and I am very sorry I didn’t hop on to tell all of you about what was going on. In short student teaching completely took over my life. I had pretty much no time to myself since I was hard at work trying to help my students best. So I apologize for that, but here I am! A recent college graduate and a blogger ready to get back out there!

I am excited to start adding posts again and getting back in the swing of it all. I know my start is going to be slow, honestly I have about no material ready to add but I am going to be working on it ASAP. So be ready for new content as fast as I can. I really am happy to be back and look forward to chatting with all of you again!

As always,
Nicole

PS: Let me know how you have been! What has the new year brought for you? What are you most excited for? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Beauty on a Budget: Wet n Wild Coverall Line

DSC_0425 (2) copy

Looking for a buildable full coverage foundation? Also low on cash? Well look no further! Today I am going to be giving you the full rundown on the Coverall Line from Wet n Wild.

The Coverall Line from Wet n Wild includes a primer base, liquid foundation, cream stick concealer, and pressed powder. The products I will be reviewing include the primer and foundation, mainly because the concealer and powder would be a skip in my book. To start things off the primer which is the hardest to find will set you back $5. I usually can only find the primer at Walmart and that is if they even have it in stock. The foundation which comes in 7 shades will set you back only $4! The shades that work best for my skin ton are a mix of 815 Fair and 816 Fair/Light. Keep reading for swatches and more!

Brows on a Budget: NYX and E.L.F.

For the longest time I was obsessed with others eyebrows and how perfect they could get them looking. After doing some research I found some alternatives to the expensive brow gels and creams (such as the $18 Anastasia Dip Brow) that work almost just as well!

NYX Tinted Brow Mascara: The first product I want to talk about is this brow mascara from NYX. It retails for $7 to $9 depending on where you buy. This mascara has a tiny brush which you just brush your brows into place. I have quite dark hair so my color is in Espresso. The brush is just under the size of a quarter which works well for your brows. When brushing into place you can go over in layers to achieve the correct shape and color. I usually go over twice since I sometimes miss spots. This product dries fairly quickly and will not budge until removed with makeup remover. The best part about this product is that if you make a mistake you have enough time to quickly smudge it away, so you can really get those flawless brows. This is my go to product on a daily basis since it takes two seconds to apply. Keep reading to find out about the eyebrow kit!

Save or Splurge: MAC Matchmaster Foundation and Pro Longwear Powder

For my recently passed birthday I received some MAC products from friends and family, and with that came these two products. I have to be honest, I originally had their newest foundation and a mineral finish powder but both broke out my skin so I swapped a day later for these products. Now that I’ve had these products for a couple weeks now I can really give you guys a full review. So lets get down to business, should you go and splurge on the MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation and Pro Longwear Powder? Maybe… Read on to find out more!

The Liebster Award

liebster-award-21

First off I want to thank Thrifter Lust for the nomination. The Liebster Award is all about recognizing new blogs found by other bloggers. So thank you Thrifter Lust for considering me! With each nomination the rules change slightly but for mine it was a blog with less than 200 followers. The point of this is to then pass the award on to other blogs with less than 200 followers. This way we can spread the love and exposure! In the process we might even make some new friends.

The Rules

  1. Thank the nominator.
  2. Display the award.
  3. Nominate 10 more bloggers with 10 new questions.
  4. Answer the questions.

Life Changing Products: MAC’s Lightful C Skincare Line

DSC_0389 (2) copy

As you all know I received quite a bit of MAC products for my recent birthday and I am here to give you the full run down on some of MAC’s new skincare line Lightful C. The two products which I received were the Lightful C Marine-Bright Formula Softening Lotion and the Lightful C Marine-Bright Formula Moisturizer. I have been using these products since only July 12th, and let me tell you these products are life changing.

Let me start by telling you my face history…for starters I have combination skin that tends to run on the more sensitive side. Oily T-zone, dry cheeks, you know the typical combo skin run down. For the longest time I never ever wore a moisturizer because I could never find one that didn’t break me out, and or actually worked on my dry patches. Overall my face had an uneven complexion and dry semi-red cheeks. I had acne scars on my chin and near my nose. After a week of using these two products I already saw a difference. Keep reading for how I use these products.

Birthday Surprise: MAC Haul

DSC_0478 (2) copy

This is probably one of the most overdue posts ever…considering my birthday was a few weeks ago. On July 12th I turned 22, and honestly had no idea what I wanted for my birthday. I was stumped this year, truly and honestly stumped. I brainstormed the idea of getting ombre hair but decided against that after seeing a classmate have the same dye done. It would definitely not be for me. So then I thought to myself how could I up my makeup game? Well MAC came to mind. I have already strayed away from top brands and knew that MAC was a pricey brand. But hey it was my birthday, and I had to tell people something!

Keep reading to see what I received!
